@@riccardosimonetti4073 Yes, but I find that all the cheap small 4×4 or SUV like the Fiat Panda 4×4 and Honda CR-V are useless to have a four-wheel drive without a lock gear, it goes one wheel spin when stuck in the mud and other wheel is not do anything at all. I felt is not much good as the front-wheel if install all seasons tyres with MUD & SNOW icon on the side of tyre wall it goes well in the snow roads can add wheels chains! If you want a good 4x4, get one with lock differential, like Jimny 1.3.

@@bluelight575 Its your brain thats gone to sleep. Selectable 4WD is just that ( srlectable ). AWD is full time driving all four wheels. Both have slip diffs but selectable has power ratio adjustments, like terrain select using a transfer case. That is not the case with AWD. Which is why for heavy duty off roading you need selectable 4WD whereas for good traction control AWD is good enough. Subaru, Suzuki , VW and a few other offer AWD. Now you know, you FOOL. Its got nothing to do with the number of wheels.

Point # 1. each vehicle which is equipped with 4 driving wheels MUST have a transfer gearbox (for the rear axle). 4WD or AWD has nothing to do with it. Point # 2 Limited slip differentials have been around for a very long time, since at least 1980. For example the Lancia Delta HF 4WD with its Torsen type rear differential. Today there are all kinds of configurations, electronic limited slip differentials at the rear and mechanical differentials at the front (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for example) or even central limited slip differential without front or rear limited slip differential. It all depends on the choice of manufacturer and model, there is just no AWD or 4WD category. Find out a little about mechanic before saying the opposing opinions are fool.
